T and Cake is a blog about me, T, and my explorations and adventures in the wonderful world of baking.

I live in the North East of England with my husband G, a tank full of fish and the newest edition to our household, Kipling, my beautiful KitchenAid Artisan Mixer. 

In an ideal world I would spend my days travelling the world in a VW campervan, exploring, eating, reading, and baking. In the real world I work in Libraryland and have to make do with cramming all the fun things into my spare time. I do Kung Fu. I love reading. I love the outdoors. I enjoy cooking. And I have a slight obsession with cookery books!  

But baking is my real love. Cakes, biscuits, cookies, brownies, pies...I'm not fussy, I'll bake anything! Baking is my escape. When I'm bored, stressed, happy or sad I will take myself off to my little kitchen and create.
